The Best Lotions of 2024

Smelling good and feeling hydrated is everything to me. Here's what I'm wearing in 2024.

1. Sol de Janeiro - Brazilian Bum Bum Cream

Like so many other people, my life has been taken over by Sol de Janeiro's Brazlian Bum Bum Cream. Not to sound like a hipster, but I was using this before it blew up on TikTok (lol). Jokes aside, I'm so happy this brand has gotten the recognition it deserves! This and the SOL Cheirosa 62 is my go-to scent combo. It's such a warm and sweet scent that I can't go anywhere without it.

The cream smells so good and isn't overpowering. It dries down quickly and doesn't leave a residue, making it my favorite post-shower lotion.

2. Flamingo - Deep Nourishing Cream

This is a lotion that you only need a teeny tiny swipe of to hydrate the driest of skin. This lotion is thick and starts working immediately. It's long lasting, too, which is a huge plus when your skin gets dry and cracks easily. It was a light scent, so it won't interfere with any perfumes or sprays you want to wear over it.

3. Frenshe - Milky Body Lotion

This lotion comes out thick. While it can leave a slight oily residue, it leaves your skin looking plump and hydrated. A little bit goes a long way, so be sure to start with small squeezes.

This one smells woodsy to me and reminds me of being outside in the woods on a warm spring day. The smell feels like a folk album, so that's a plus for me.

4. Naturium - The Glow Getter Multi-Oil Body Butter

This lotion is OILY. It's super hydrating, to the point where if you have any water on your skin still after your shower, it tends to pill. It smells very luxurious and makes me feel like I've just had a spa treatment. This body butter gives my skin a luscious feeling that none of the other lotions on this list give me. It's best to use a small amount - I found out the hard way that it will stay on your skin for hours if you use too much.

I have had the same jar for 2 months - this stuff lasts!

5. First Aid Beauty - Ultra Repair Cream

While I think this is more of a facial moisturizer, this lotion is a Godsend. I have been using this for years and years, and my skin knows if I use something else - it throws a fit and starts drying out at what seems like 10x faster. This cream is unscented and feels amazing to put on. It's not oily and doesn't leave any sticky feelings like other moisturizers I've tried. I will never use another facial moisturizer, this is the only one for me.

P.S. For my thick-thighed friends, this also works amazing on chub rub.
